Universidad de San Buenaventura Cali recognized the need for a dedicated virtual learning space. This led to the birth of eCampus, a Moodle-based Learning Management System (LMS) designed exclusively for virtual students.
Unlike MiCampus, the University’s existing LMS that also hosts content for classroom-based education, eCampus provides a focused environment for online learning. To help students navigate between these two platforms, we created a landing page called ‘Aulas Virtuales’. Here, students can choose their preferred learning environment – MiCampus or eCampus.
The first step in this project was a redesign of MiCampus, giving it a fresh and modern look. Next, we developed eCampus, carving out a unique space for our virtual learners. Finally, we created the ‘Aulas Virtuales’ landing page, effectively segregating the two LMS platforms.
This project, which spanned from June to September 2022, was a significant undertaking. It was about more than just creating a new platform or redesigning an old one. It was about shaping the future of education at the Universidad de San Buenaventura Cali, making it more accessible and tailored to the needs of our diverse student body.
